Couldn't stay longer.

Our Easter stay at this hotel was wonderful! The staff was helpful and friendly, and every detail in the room was well thought out. We were pleased to see a wide range of TV stations, including ones from the UK. The hotel's location was perfect for exploring the city, and we thoroughly enjoyed the good garden where we could relax after a day of sightseeing. The complimentary tea, drinks, and snacks were an added bonus, and we appreciated the effort the hotel made to support local charities.

The hotel is conveniently located, being close to the city center and easily accessible by tram. The rooms are well-designed, clean, and comfortable, offering a pleasant stay. The staff is friendly and goes above and beyond to provide excellent service, including offering free upgrades and welcome drinks. The hotel also provides a Basel Card with multiple discounts for the city and public transport tickets, adding value to the stay.

There was a slight inconvenience with the hotel's location. It required walking up a number of steps up a hill, which might be challenging for elderly or impaired individuals.

Cosy and clean rooms with cool interior decoration ideas. The small lounge area in the lobby is a nice touch. The staff were great too ensure my stay was really good. I highly recommend this hotel. Overall I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel, as it had some of the best aspects one can ask for. the hotel's cleanliness was perfect. The staff ensured that everything was super clean, made me feel comfortable throughout my stay. the hotel facilities were excellent. From the lovely garden to the filtered water available, it was clear that they had put thought into providing a pleasant experience for their guests. the location was perfect. Being so close to the historic area and public transportation, I could easily explore the main museums and other attractions in this city without any hassle. Lastly, the staff was helpful and attentive. They provided me with useful information on navigating the city and even offered me water bottles for my train journey when I checked out early.

I was kinda surprised by the complimentary drink I received upon arrival at the hotel. It was a great way to start my stay at Steinenschanze Stadthotel. The staff was courteous and helpful, providing me with a map and suggestions for exploring the city. The beautiful garden was a peaceful oasis where I enjoyed my breakfast and evening drinks. The location was convenient, with easy access to public transportation and the charming Old Town. I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is a hidden gem in the heart of the city! Its location just one stop from the train station via bus makes it so convenient to explore Basel. The staff here are incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. The rooms are cozy and well-equipped, with a lovely view over the garden. And let's not forget the delicious breakfast, with a new variation of food each morning and good strong coffee!
